Due to the tremendous interest in the merit table, and the record number of competitions of £1000 and above that qualify for National Merit Points, the merit points totals from 2006 and 2007 with £600,000 in prize money, and 1626 players in the ranking list, are being carried over into 2008,

Could players check on display page on the web site, on the list of £1000 and over 2008 Competitions, to see if any events have been missed out, if so send details to me arthurland@btinternet.com so that the winners of three or more games can be credited with points, and also added to the list,

2008 National Merit Table, Players to be listed must win 3 rounds in events £1000 and above, there are 89 players listed on the 2008 table, 18 are player who for the first time are listed on the National Ranking table to take the total to 1657, due to the amount of time it takes to upload, the National Rankings Table is removed and will be listed for a week from the 1^st June 2008,
